National Runaway Safeline Welcomes Amanda Whitlock as New CEO

Chicago, IL – October 28, 2024 – The National Runaway Safeline (NRS) is pleased to announce that Amanda Whitlock, LCSW, will assume the role of Chief Executive Officer on Monday, October 28, 2024. Amanda brings over 20 years of leadership experience in social services, with a proven record of expanding participant-centered programs and fostering innovation in the non-profit sector.

The NRS Board of Directors would like to extend its deepest gratitude to Adam Manlove, who has served as Interim CEO with dedication and skill. Adam’s leadership during this transition was critical in maintaining the stability and continuity of NRS’s mission-driven work. We are grateful for his unwavering commitment to the organization, and he will continue to play an important role in NRS’s success as we move forward.

Amanda’s expertise in child welfare, mental health, and community wellness, combined with her strategic leadership in growing and sustaining complex programs, makes her the ideal leader for NRS as we continue our mission to support youth experiencing homelessness, housing instability, or other critical challenges.

The NRS Board of Directors extends their full support to Amanda and looks forward to working together to advance our programs and services for youth and families across the country.
