Welcome to our dedicated page for Youth Homelessness, Outreach, Prevention, Education Month, or simply, Youth HOPE Month!

Join us in our mission to illuminate the challenges faced by runaway and homeless youth. Together, we can make a difference by raising awareness and promoting resources that offer hope and support. Your involvement is crucial in creating safe, empowering spaces for young people to thrive.

November has been recognized as National Runaway Prevention Month (NRPM) since 2001, following the landmark White House Conference on Exploited and Runaway Children. For more than two decades, the National Runaway Safeline (NRS), with support from the Family and Youth Services Bureau (FYSB), has partnered with national, state, and local organizations, Youth Ambassadors, companies, and individuals to shine a light on experiences of youth who have run away or experienced homelessness.

As the landscape surrounding youth homelessness has evolved since NRPM’s inception, we recognized the need for a rebrand to more accurately reflect the broader issues impacting youth today.

By registering as a partner or ambassador for Youth HOPE Month, you are taking a vital step in supporting vulnerable youth. As a partner, you will help amplify our messages and reach youth with essential resources in your community. Youth Ambassadors bring unique insights and energy to this public awareness campaign, making a significant impact through advocacy and outreach.

Join us today to become a part of a national movement dedicated to preventing youth homelessness and empowering young lives. Your involvement can inspire change and provide a lifeline to those in need.

Proclamations are a great way for communities to show support for Youth HOPE Month (NRPM). A proclamation is granted by an elected official such as a mayor, governor, orpresident. A resolution is signed by a legislative body such as a state legislature, county commission, or city council. In previous years, Congressional representatives have passed resolutions in support of runaway prevention. Below is a sample proclamation request. Bolded areas should be customized.
